Luo Zongfu was born in January 1985 in Shaoyang, Hunan province. He received his bachelor’s degree in 2007, master’s in 2009 and doctorate in 2015 from National University of Defense Technology. From October 2012 to June 2014, he was sponsored by China Scholarship Council and sent to study at Polytechnic University of Milan for joint training. From 2015 to 2012, he taught in Naval Aeronautical University (formerly known as Naval Aeronautical Engineering College). He joined the faculty of the School of Astronomy and Space Science at Nanjing University in 2018. His master’s thesis was awarded an Excellent Thesis of National University of Defense Technology and an Excellent Thesis of the Whole Army.
　　He has participated in the projects supported of the Natural Science Foundation, 863, 973, Phase II/III of the Lunar Exploration Project and the Navy's preliminary research. At present, he is in charge of a project funded by the Natural Science Foundation for Young Scholars and a project supported by the Key Laboratory of the National Defense.
