Personal introduction Biography

Born in August, 1965. Entered Nanjing University (NJU) in 1982 after schooling in the High School affiliated to Fujian Normal University. Obtained PhD degree in NJU in 1993. Employed as a professor in the Department of Astronomy, NJU in 2001. Experienced oversea researches, as a predoc student in Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory in Italy (1991-1992) and visiting scientist in the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (1999-2000) and University of Massachusetts at Amherst (2003, 2008), respectively. Member of Chinese Astronomical Society and International Astronomical Union. Awarded the 1st Educational Ministry Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress and the 3rd Prize of National Natural Science as the second contributor to the program “Products and Progenitors of Supernova Explosions” in 1999. Elected as “Trans-century Talents” by the Educational Ministry (2002) and sponsored by the “National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars” (2007). Manuscript reviewer for several international scientific journals. SOC members in the supernova remnant session of the COSPAR Assemblies (2004, 2006, 2010) and in the IAU Symposium 296 (2013); convener of the high-energy astrophysics session of the 7th Joint Meeting of Chinese Physicists Worldwide (2011).

”Theory of radiation in astrophysics” and “Physics of interstellar medium” for graduate students; “Hydrodynamics” for undergraduate students

Research Field Research Interests

High-energy physics in the ISM, with emphasis on supernova remnants and explosive motion of gas, and the concomitant interstellar shock waves and high temperature/energy gas with multi-wavelength emission from radio to gamma rays. About 100 refereed papers published.
