Li-Yong Zhou received his bachelor’s (1995) from Department for Intensive Instruction (Kuang Yaming School now) and doctorate (2000) from Department of Astronomy in Nanjing University. He has been working at Department of Astronomy / School of Astronomy and Space Science since 2000. He went to University of Turku in Finland for post-doc studies from 2003 to 2004 and has been a visiting scholar to University of São Paulo in Brazil from 2006 to 2007. He is a frequent visiting scholar to University of Vienna in Austria since 2008.
