Personal introduction Biography

Zhu Zi, born in October 1959, graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1982 and received his master’s in 1987 and doctorate in 1994 from Shaanxi Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He went to the Bonn Observatory in Germany and the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan many times for joint research on space astrometry, astronomical reference systems, and galactic astronomy. He joined the faculty of the Department of Astronomy, Nanjing University, in 2002. Now he is a member of the Commission A1 “Astrometry” of IAU, an evaluation specialist of national science and technology awards, and a doctoral supervisor.

Research Field Research Interests

He has long engaged in studying astronomical reference systems and galactic astronomy. He has led many general projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His research focuses on astrometric methods, astronomical reference systems, and galactic astronomy. He has published over 20 papers on SCI journals.
