宇宙中富含各类高温等离子体,如星系团、宇宙大尺度纤维状结构、活动星系核等离子体外流、超新星遗迹的热气体、温度达百万度的日冕等。这些高温等离子体主要辐射波段在X射线和UV波段。X射线及紫外高分辨能谱中的特征发射线、吸收线是诊断高温等离子体的物理参数的有力工具,如温度、密度、元素丰度以及动力学参数等。对高温等离子体的高分辨能谱分析有助于我们理解上述种种天体中细致的物理过程。
在过去的二十多年,X射线高分辨能谱观测数据主要来源于Chandra空间望远镜上的透射光栅光谱仪和搭载在XMM-Newton空间望远境的反射光栅光谱仪。同时,紫外波段的高分辨率光谱主要依赖于HST和FUSE的紫外光谱仪。未来十年左右,X射线天文学将在高分辨能谱方向上迈入新时代。下一代X射线空间望远镜大多都配备有基于微量能器的高分辨能谱仪,包括预计于2023年左右发射的XRISM/Resolve,2032年左右发射的Athena/X-IFU,正在争取立项中的Arcus,Lynx和Colibri。我国也在推动X射线、光学和紫外望远镜,如中国主导的X射线高分辨能谱望远镜——宇宙热重子探寻计划(HUBS)、中国空间站望远镜(CSST,含紫外和光学)等。这些新一代的X射线和紫外望远镜将以超高的能量分辨和数据采集效率获取海量观测数据。
本讲习班将邀请国内外相关领域的专家讲解X射线及紫外高分辨能谱观测的基础知识、介绍天体物理等离子体模型、原子物理数据库和天体物理研究前沿,并提供上手练习的小课题。本次讲习班主要面向有一定相关知识基础的研究生、高年级本科生和青年学者。
讲习班将以线上形式开展(包括课程和练习内容),无注册费。为确保教学质量,学员名额限制在50名以内。讲习班主要语言为中文,部分讲座为英文。
注:若计划只听讲座而不参加练习,注册时请不要选练习课题。
The aim of the high-resolution X-ray and UV spectroscopy (HiXUV) capacity-building workshop is to facilitate the learning of high-resolution X-ray and UV spectroscopy for students and early-career scientists. We invite experts to teach the basics of high-resolution X-ray and UV observations, astrophysical plasma models, and the underlying atomic data. The workshop will consist of both formal lectures and hands-on excercises/projects. All teaching, learning, and assesement materials will be available online for the participants (e.g., lecture slides, hands-on excercies, software packages).
The workshop will be held virtually (without registration fee) and limited to about 50 participants. Chinese will be used as the main language in the workshop, although some lectures will be in English.

The workshop will be held entirely virtually. We will use the TecentMeeting platform for lectures.
