摘要:The stellar orbit composition of a galaxy has encoded crucial information about its formation and evolution history. With the latest development of IFU spectroscopic surveys, more and more orbit-based modelling methods have been used to derive dynamic properties of galaxies. The latest observation and modelling towards 260 CALIFA galaxies (Zhu et al., 2018 Nature Astronomy) unveiled a dynamic Hubble Sequence of nearby galaxies, providing important clues to our understanding of galaxy evolution. In this talk, I will, through a usage of an advanced cosmological galaxy-formation simulation, show what we can learn from stellar orbit composition of a galaxy and present some of the interesting results from our current studies.

许丹丹,2018年加入清华大学,目前为天文系助理教授;2004本科毕业于北京大学天文系;2010年获得曼彻斯特大学天体物理博士学位;2010-2018年相继于中科院国家天文台、德国波恩大学天文系和海德堡理论研究所做博士后。
