报告摘要： In this talk, I will present our survey of circumgalactic medium from z=2--6 through both emission and absorption. Using JWST, Keck, combined with the Subaru/HSC, ALMA and VLA, we studied the detailed kinematics of the circumgalactic medium (CGM). Combined with simulations, our observations suggest that CGM could be heavily metal enriched, and the recycled inflow play a vital role in star foramtion at high-redshift. This could be a reason of the rapid formation of the structure found by recent JWST observations. I will also talk about the future of MUltiplexed Survey Telescope (MUST).
简介： 蔡峥，清华大学天文系副教授，天文系副主任。他于2015年获得亚利桑那大学获得理学博士学位，2016年入选美国国家航空航天局（NASA）哈勃学者（Hubble Fellowship）。2019年加入清华大学，致力于高红移星系、星际气体，并为高红移气体内流进行了直接成像，获得第六届腾讯“科学探索奖”，清华大学学术新人奖（清华青年教师的最高学术荣誉），并主演了励志纪实纪录电影《大学》。此外，他正在领导建设国际最大光谱巡天设备：宽视场巡天望远镜（MUST）。
